Speedy recovery Water of leith, ironically had an episode with barbed wire and rotten fenceposts myself out lamping last Thursday no where as bad as yours, two deep cuts in my thigh and the erse ripped out my breeks and a hurt pride lol.....

Rotten fence post......?.....more like your fat frame broke it...??

get well soon pal sure you be up and about sooner rather than later :thumbs: .trouble with the old busted ribs is that even a fart hurts lol,had a good one myself years ago out lamping one night,stood on the bottom wire as i lifted me leg over it snapped fell onto the top wire then flipped over onto my back, i remember laying thinking id got away with it before i passed out,the battery pack had struck me a good un on the head,came round with the mutt licking my face least she cleared most the blood up before i got home :laugh: atb

It just goes to show you don't have to be in a remote wilderness for things to go quickly wrong and find yourself in serious trouble ...its always a good idea to let someone know your plans and the area you are visiting if you are going it alone. To The comments saying that you have bad luck I'd say the opposite you were lucky to come round and get yourself home...wishing you a speedy recovery ..kanny

Your dead on there kanny, Keith you should carry a phone with you at all times, an let someone know were your going an what time you should be back, keep safe mate

lol I well liked down there , they only charge me 6 rabbits or leg fallow for a quickie :D get well Keith there's not many of us old feckers left on here now . you be ok mate, when idone me shoulder in falling of the 5 bar gate , that was really painful back then , but you heal its just us old feckers t longer to heal that's all mate. all you got think about on here, is how many people our age still go lamping couple times a week, out all day in all weathers , there not many mate . I am 63 was fighting fit/strong last week , picked up a bloody cold was rough for 4 days , but staring to pick up again :thumbs: . will you ever go for another pup mate, as the pup was great you had, get your self another , as they say you only pass this way once :yes::thumbs: Ray

Hey up lads, thanks for your comments, still in quite some pain with the ribs,thing is ive had this hacking cough for a week now and my body is aching off, went back to the docs yesterday and im on anti biotics now, tried my bed last night , went up around tennish, back up at 1 30, i can stand on my feet all day no probs, but sitting down, and lying down, cant do it, i will be fine as soon as i can get rid of this cough
