Slow Steady Start

Off out again this morning, the lack of rabbits on our way up the fell side to our choosen destination was slightly worrying, once we got the van in a suitable place the ferrets were collered up and gear was ready off we went waiting for the first mark of the morning, it wasn't long in coming so nets on and sandy Jill entered, it wasn't long before she had us our first couple in the bag 46C239F9-A17C-4B6E-98D3-D23BF7D3392E_zps onwards we went picking up a 2s and 3s as we went, it was slow going this morning and seemed to take a while to fill the first game carrier3E17C7CA-E685-4AF0-8A7B-BCF9AD1A3057_zps we got to the top of the fell amongst the limestone and got another mark off the lurcher C1C8940A-BA6F-4000-8BD1-837C52C2AF3D_zps nets on and a couple of ferrets entered, our silence was interrupted by two noisy crows overhead squabbling and the distant hum of the farmers quad as he tended his stock on the next fell side, slowly the bag was getting bigger. As I walked over a crest I watched 3 rabbits drop to ground it was the turn of my albino Jill 00CD2D2E-74EC-4A1E-8232-ED9C9E1422B2_zps with 2lb of venom in among the rabbits they didn't hang round 2 out then out with the graft for number 3, as the midges started to get abit of a nuisance we called it a day with 21 DE100C98-DBAD-4DE1-A5E4-6E7D1835C4AA_zps back home dogs and ferrets all fed and watered, now it's my turn with venison chops washed down with a nice port 62815701-0C42-4540-9F23-487EDD2C0EAF_zps until next time cheers neil b
