Just listening to Jon Gaunt on pod-cast , an RAF bloke went to a hospital in Kent after getting an eye injury , he was moved on numerous occasions into corners so he wasn't on view (ABSOLUTE DISGRACE) as the staff told him his uniform might offend "CERTAIN PEOPLE" . . This is beyond a joke now , how do some people not see what's going on here ??

It might not fit in with your version of reality,but people from different ethnic and cultural groups generally don't get on unless they're forced to.

 

The fact is,it's probably in that mans best interest he wasn't on display in uniform in public,especially if the area's 'diverse'.

lanesra, you're right. Where does it stop? Uniforms offend, crucifixes offend, drinking offends. It's the start of a slippery slope. What else could offend? Women with short skirts? Maybe they should cover up so as not to offend these sensitive souls.

 

What exactly do other countries do to ensure I'm not offended when I'm there? Nothing. The simple way to ensure I'm not offended by foreign customs is simply not to go there. To go there and expect them to change everything to suit me is ludicrous. As if anyone would be crass enough to try that.
