whipstar 18
This will be my first season ferreting, got a hob and jill kit from different litters mid summer so will be hoping to try them soon, was just wondering about jabs for them this is first time ive owned them so is it essential ? I rang the local vets and they give me a price of 70 pound for the pair is that about right or a bit steep ? Quote Link to post

The one 8,463
Had ferrets for fifty years and never had one jabbed yet felt a few should of had a odd right jab, the only thing I do if it's a dry period it wash down all the perimeter of the front of the house with bleach as I think dogs pissing in the same area could carry disease and the rain washes it away 1 Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Kept 10 to 15 ferrets in our courts for donkeys years never had one jabbed for distemper never had any problems One of the biggest killers of ferrets other than old age is lymphoma (cancer) which unfortunately can't be injected against. So save your money mate and good luck with your new ferreting career it's a great pastime Quote Link to post
