lol yea just realised a fiver is f**k all these days to a kid.

The price of them should put any sane person of them. I smoked like a beagle in a laboratory but I thought a tenner a pack it was time to quit. Best thing I ever did!

The worst thing about stopping is the smell from other smokers I didn't actually realise as a smoker how f***ing disgusting it is.

Sat next to a smoker other day and I had to move I was physically feeling sick.

My missus was on 40 a day I was on about 10 ,

Stopped when straights went to about fiver and baccy was tenner or £6 for hooky baccy.

I stared smoking when I was sixteen and my uncle took one of my marbrlo lights dug some tobacco out replaced the tobacco with a small French banger and put the tobacco back over to cover it and I used to walk down the lane for a smoke lit the cigarette and few puffs and the thing went booooom in my mouth and I've never smoked since

in your first post you said you sons best freind told you he was smoking ,now you have said he is sat there smoking in front of you ,now doing it behind your back is one thing ,sounds like he has zero respect for you,i would stop letting him do the thing he loves most,if he is into gaming take his xbox off him ,if he has a phone take it off him ect ,editted to say good luck with him

Start of with you an the wife quitting smoking, setting an example, he probably thinks its OK, cause you an the wife smokes.

spot on , I packed in 25 years ago, I smoked for 15 years 10-20 day. my son don't smoke he football mad watches and plays it as done since 8 -28 year old, he likes a drink and did have go with the fags for a week , but had word with him that it would feck his football long term that did the trick . But I tell people who smoke like I did once , I went to doc few years back ,as I was getting out of breath . they did the tests on me where you blow in a tube and tube to a comp , the reading was good f and they said I was quite fit for my age. but they said it was down in capacity as to what should have been if I was a none smoker, they said I had scared my lungs from 15 years of smoking . I must be honest it took me back a bit when he said that, even after 25 years a none smoker my lungs were damaged . so tell your son not to smoke because it will damage him long term 100% let him read this if he wants .!

that's what I thought mate, but according to my doc , no there scared for ever . but at least I not making it any worse to it, not smoking 25 years I am 63 and am quite fit, lamp couple times a week 3 hours , don't think I could do this if hadn't packed the fags up, as I was out of breath back then .
