Hob Started Biting

Recommended Posts

I've had my hob for 6 months and he has been brilliant to handle. But the last month he's been trying me when I pick him up. But tonight he got really aggressive when I was cleaning out his cage. He's in a cage on his own due to being in season and as he's double the size of his brother was doing a bit of damage on the poor hobs head. Would this behaviour be down to being bored and lonely? I've nearly finished much bigger cages where they can have things to amuse themselves. And have a communal area for the winter when they are quieter. Any advice would be good thank you.

Might be a stupid question fellas but are you talking about hobs being in season?????? Im guessin you mean your jills are in season so the fellas get aggressive? Im a newbie to it by the way!

. When the Jill's come in season mate the hobs will to , they bollocks will swell up more and hormones will change , most hobs together during this time will fight and try to shag each other , they also give off a more musky smell

Hobs don`t go "in season" as such,, but during the summer, there balls will drop and become huge and the hormone level goes through the roof, so this is what folk are referring to.

Most of the year your hob will carry his testes up in his body and as the days lengthen they will drop into his sack usually well before the Jill's start showing its like there getting prepared to seek out the Jill's as they come into season , and then it happens in reverse they go out of season first and the Jill's are still in season
