lurchers 2,874
I would give it at least 6 weeks to be on the safe side but looking at that might be a little sooner pal atb Quote Link to post
RossM 8,121
It will probable be looking ok in about a fortnight HOWEVER I'd be waiting a month to six weeks before even thinking about it... 2 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
A good dog man once told me: when you think he's ready to run, give him another 2 weeks on the lead. It's served me well a couple of times. All the best and wishing him a speedy recovery. Quote Link to post

That's true to mate but try educating the thick young feckers that, they would be out the next week when the stitches have been took out.because they no best.thats why I've stopped telling my own son what to do as he would rather take advice from his muppet pals who's had dogs 2-5yrs.then he twists when he asks me something then I reply go and ask 1 of ya mate you listen to them. 3 Quote Link to post

bird 9,969
looking at the pic as best I can, if it just skin/fur, rip be ok I say in month no prob, if it was muscle be another 2 weeks on top . my younger dog had a shoulder injury(internal ) when he was 12 months old he was out 10 weeks 8 weeks lead , 2 weeks bike work , they soon heal young dogs , though he might few niggles with it as he gets older , as most injury's they + us get when young deff come back to you in old age .
