Anyone that EVEN CONSIDERS A HW80 IN .177 is a utter puffter.   HW80 .177

You don't get deals on icons mate although Mac sold what I look back on as a missed opportunity.   Buy new if you wish, buy sending hand if it's been well looked after... it'll stick pellets in the

Right here is my take on it for what its worth , yes they are good guns special the older ones but what you have to remember is the 80 was built for the FAC market .

I will probably get slaughtered for this ,but IMO there is better spring gun than the 80 in sub 12 specially in .177 and even .22 ,example would be HW77 or 97 and we all know how good they are , HW 95 the baby 80 , HW 99 , AA prosport and the AA tx.

Personally I think there is this romantic element about owing a HW80 and I can see that with the early ones

Your right v'man, there is a romantic thought to be had about owning an 80. When they've been around as long as we have, its like legendary status, the 77 as you mention has just that. And the old rapids. Its the shit we all grew up reading about in Airgunner. Being older and being able to get one, is well, pretty sound... living the dream :D

Afterall, its were it all starts with airguns, being young, bashing starlings with a shit B2, just wishing the old man would buy you that 77/80/Rapid...

"Put that down boy!"

HW80 in .22 in my signature... :hmm: All day. And will happen. Dunno when though.

I've a fully glided/tuned 80 which shoots scarily good.

It's not a looker but has absolutely everything done.

Shoots extremely accurately due to the amount of tuning work done.

Comes with a Nikko sterling scope.

£180 posted.

There is no more tuning work that can be done to this gun

I let go of my memories and sentimental thoughts letting go of my FWB Sport as part ex towards my HW 100 kt, do i regret it ? "Hell no" !

.177 springer ? Lads i am struggling big time to put my T-Rex 200 HC mk 3 down. My confidence is sky high with this springer and boy is she accurate and hard hitting. Superb spring rifle  .

Each to their own, i`ve shot the 80 in .22 at my range and also the 77 but for me they cant live with the T-Rex, it fits me like a glove.

I have noticed the Pro Sport .177 on these forums giving some great results also.

Good luck

If you got the cash to buy new, add a little extra and my mate has a "like new" condition hw80, .22 calibre

V mached tuned including ;

Sleeved to 25mm cylinder

V glided piston, seal, top hat etc

Breach shim conversion

Cs800 stock with the best grain Iv seen some from them.

All like brand new with HW MOD, he wants 450. The work carried out and extras including the rifle he bought new stands him at 900+.

PM me if interested it's a diamond of a rifle, the blokes a pillock for selling.

It's not 'like brand new' mate. That's far from standard. Sounds a good deal too.
