theobenmike 0
How come there are a number of Gin Traps for sale on Ebay, but when I tried to sell one I got my listing cancelled? I stated in my listing "For Display/Collection only" and "Illegal to use in the UK" as others have put, but other listings are still there, mine isn't. Is there somthing else you have to write to allow Gin Traps to be sold? Anyone else had listings cancelled for no clear reason?

OldTrapCollector 377
Mike, eBay's rules are pretty clear regarding sale of gin traps ~ all you need to do is list them as 'collectable antiques, not for use' etc and they will be left well alone. I have bought and sold many traps on there over the years and so long as you stick to the guidelines then things should be left as they should be. By the way - for your listing - the trap is a Robert's Patent Dogless gin trap made by Sidebotham's for Gilbertson & Page Ltd (GILPA) circa 1935. If you, or anyone else, has any questions about old traps or have anything for sale/swap or just getting rid of, then I would always be happy to help you out.
