Stuffing Trout

I've done a few that I've caught I rub butter and salt and some mixed herbs then wrapped in tinfoil an bang in the oven for twenty mins what weight was the one you got theirs a canal beside me with some big ones in it there was a six pound one got about two week's ago

Not sure no weight big enough to eat that's for sure this was from a chalk stream never caught them in canals

When ever we guddled trout on our farm stream, we would fillet out the back bone and clearly most of the ribs. Mother would then fry them in butter but with the trout covered in crushed barley and some herbs. 1/2 pound trout with some bread and butter was fantastic. AND because the old man hadn't had to do anything we n ever got a beating. Them were the days.
