Pups Clicked On The Lamp

post-99422-0-11180800-1442891368_thumb.jpgpost-99422-0-58374200-1442891400_thumb.jpgThe pups got the hang of this Lamping game now I've gone from slipping him and him running in the opposite direction to walking him up on squatters to him running down the beam like a pro 3 out of 2 tonight it would of been 3 out of 3 but he pulled lead out of my hand before I could slip him and the trailing lead confused him and made him hesitate luckily he returned unscathed he retrieves and comes back when the lamp is turned of which I am pleased about because he also has mastered the ferreting game and marks sets 100% so he knows the difference between day and night work he's nearly 14 month old so the future is bright and it's my first ever lurcher I've had him and trained him myself from a little ball of fluff so I'm sat at home with a brew massive smile on my face big thanks to stud dog it was going out with his old bitch star that got him looking down the beam and showed him the ropes onwards and upwards now

Hopfully...we can start targeting bigger hauls now he knows what he's doing.

That's it mate it seemed like yesterday I was taking my old dog out he took a short wile to master it wasn't ever about the bigger numbers with me tho there wasn't really the rabbit numbers here to begin with anyway ild be happy with three to five runs on rabbits per night

Looks like he's comin on well pal. Guna have to get back out wi ya. Things just been a bit full on recently, dont seem to get a minute. Glad to see laddy still flourishin.

youve seen him ferreting mate I'm well pleased he's getting good on the lamp too, just let me know when you're next on a bout getting out let's see your ferrets start grafting.

Great feeling when its your first dog,you've done the hard bit getting him to where he is nowOnwards and upwards atb

he was a scabby mess when I bought him poor thing covered in mites..I shouldn't of got him really but I've looked after him got him right and now he's repaying me..the feeling you get when you've reared trained and entered your first dog is great and it's got me hooked on lurchers that's for sure,I've already got another one had her from 5week old and she's 7month on Thursday should be ready to see a bit of action towards end of season
