On my boiler there's an Allan key bolt,,that I undoo a bit,,,kerosene bubbles out,,then the boiler fires when the air is out,,, Don't know how to explain it more than that,,,it's very simple,,,the engineer that comes every year to service showed me how,,,there's also I little filter outside on the pipes,,,you can unscrew and see if water is getting in the pipes from condensation in the tank

Malt 379
What's the additives in "heating oil plus additive"? And is it worth the extra few p a litre? Not 100% sure what they are in kerosene but most refined fuels have additives for various reasons. Petrol has got detergents and other things added as one example.
simononeill93 69
See if anyone else in your area needs fuel,if you can get 4or 5 people together then buy a tanker full, you'll save yourself hundreds of pounds.

walshie 2,804
Cheers for the heads up on fuel tool. Just ordered 1200 litres for £393 inc VAT. The supplier is in Newcastle somewhere. I can't believe that's the nearest, but who cares at that price?

walshie 2,804
Fuel tool. What's that...? It's a website someone mentioned earlier. You put in your postcode and how much fuel you want and it gives you the best prices.
