another decent days hunting ,1st spot we done is a big marsh with a few gorse patches in it.Charlie boy was found on the side of the cover behind a dry stone wall ,which left hima good back door to escape from.Simply because they usaully go up the cover to the top .but he never and lives to tell the tale,

 

2nd spot was a massive gorse patch that runs to the fell,all guns were on the wall blocking the fell.fox was lifted but went through a sheep hole in wall and 1 of the guns could have shot him ,but a dog was right behind him,so he was away into thick heather.

 

3rd big spot is a mixture of cover plus some very tall white grass,fox was lifted in the middle and was ran to ground ,10 mins bolted and cleanly shot

looks a cracking day out mate...I secretly like to hear when the fox makes good it's escape evading the dogs and finding his freedom......i find it a great hunt when you lose one and catch one ...

your right mate.the spots we do are big .and with only 4/5 lads covering .Charlie boy has plenty of back doors open for him.it's not all about the kill.the hunt is the exciting bit.and if Charlie boy falls .he has had a he'll of a chance.

few pics of couple of outing ..spot we done on sunday was far to big to cover ,the dogs done well and found charlie boys ..just far to many areas for them to sneek away.but we,ll no for next time which avenues to cover or at least try ,

It is mate.to be fair it was a bit big for us.not enough to cover.but the farmer asked us .so you got to show willing.plus he has 2 good big gulleys that are productive.
