Ouch, Remember To Wear Your Facemask When Grinding!

Recommended Posts

I was on a site and found a guy cutting a slab with a stihl saw....he had his foot holding the slab steady and was cutting toward his foot there was about a 3-4inch gap from the spining blade to the end of his boot and he qas getting nearer. But the scary thing is he was holding the saw with 1 hand and doing his water pump with the other!!!!!! I asked why he was doing it that way and he said if the health and safety man catches me cutting without water Id be in some right sh*t!!! begs belief at times.

Who the f**k in there right mind would stop for a picture with a 4 1/2" disc in their jaw.

its got to be fake , a mate hit himself in the face with a grinder when he was cutting an exhaust off a transit while he was feeling under the weather (it was the gaurd that hit him not the blade) and it pissed more blood than that out , the docs said if my boss hadnt of raced him to hospital and waited for an ambulance he would of more than likely bled out

Always do this at work not messary with angle grinder maybe Stanley knife or whatever never notice I done it until it's bleeding and it's always the smallest cut producing lots of blood keep a thing of masking tape in van just tape round cut and continue work

Is that a 4 1/2 disc?: if so its clearly been abused. From the state of it I'd say it may've started off as a 9"incher(possibly running in a 4 1/2 grinder with the guard removed? and someone has paid the price of trying to eke that little extra from a knackered disc.

As said by some ;an accidental touch from a grinder is more likely to leave a burn than a gaping wound but those thin cutting discs have a habit of letting you know when they are passed the wear limit!
