Astanley 11,568
Iread in the paper this morning that the high court refused a peadophile,s appeal against the length of his prison sentence, which is all well and good ,until you get to the reasons , they refused his appeal because it was right that people who abuse asian children should get longer sentences because they feel more shame and it affects thier chances in arranged marriages ! This is not an anti asian or anti muslim post as I am sure they find that as ridiculous as I do , but what the hell is in the minds of these high court judges ?

walshie 2,804
The trouble is it takes so long to reach the seniority required to be a High Court judge that by the time they do, they are dinosaurs, and out of touch with the real world.

mushroom 13,000
Never thought I'd ever say this but I pray for a military coup in Blighty these days. Put the right people in charge until a government and opposition that is based in reality can be formed Edited September 18, 2015 by mushroom
mackay 3,377
In this instance and to be fair in many others our own people are the biggest danger. If this story is true it needs investigated immediately. A child is a child and a beast is a beast no matter the colour of the children they are abusing. As an aside, when I read stories like this and others where leniency has been shown to muslims by the authorities I have just this niggle deep down that it is orchestrated and intentional as if meant for the white population to kick off. I've got visions of all the big wigs sat around a table rubbing their heads and asking what it takes to actually anger us enough to action.
walshie 2,804
The biggest worry about being too tolerant of other religions is what happens if a nonce changes his religion to one where crimes against British law go unpunished because of the religious aspect? Born Hunter 17,775
There's the story... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11871975/Child-molester-given-longer-sentence-as-victims-are-Asian.html I think it's important to draw the distinction between sentencing based on the convicted and sentencing based on the victim. The convict's religion was not a consideration here, only the victim's, and more importantly the effect the crime had on the victim. Whether we like it or not, the severity of a punishment is always partially determined by the effect the crime has had on the victim. You will get longer on a charge of attempted murder if you have left the victim paralysed than you would if you had just left him with a few bruises.... What I find particular troubling is that this judicial logic has the effect of making such a crime more tolerable if the victim is a member of our more liberal and progressive culture, than one of a more conservative and repressive culture. It's literally rewarding (positive punishment?) criminals targeting our native culture. A little less 'progressive' is my opinion on what the proper punishment should be.... jacknife 2,005
Its just a way of saying to them....look I know it part of you religion raping children Now if you do it to Asian kids we're going to have to do something about it we're terribly sorry Best if you raped White or Black girls preferably not Muslims That way we can sweep it under the carpet for years
