got talking to a guy few weeks back about dogs and hunting long story short he sed he had done over 100 rabbits in a night with one dog i sed its hard to do i now iv done it to.he then sed years ago [BANNED TEXT] i did deer with dogs he had 3 good dogs that could take red stags single handed could it be true?

A guy I knew had a deerhound around the late 1940's/early 1950's that used to take reds single handed, but I don't know if that was hinds, stags or both.

Well. Need to be a bit careful here. Yes without doubt these guys have the dogs to do it and have been with them on Yorkshire moors for a lot more than a hundred rabbits. As regards the reds, then one of the guys brought in a French dog, cross bred and created a killing machine. Totally loyal and all in all one of the best dogs for the job. If this guy reads this he will know who I am so enough.

I have heard it done and by honest lads but they was a long and drawn affairs by all accounts I have also seen first hand were some dogs don't make it off the field after such a encounter
