Lightforce are by far a better beam (170) and mine is set with a flip down filter which I doctored from a standard one. the clulight might be a more robust piece of kit but from what I've seen of them the beam in no where near as good. I'd stick with the Lightforce and if you want to get a cheap clulight as a back-up, if you contact clulight direct they sell "seconds" at very reasonable prices and you'd hardly notice why it was a second.
