Was there in October just gone,  love it! Hopefully get back soon ?

There's a fella who lives just up the road from me and he's a real cracking chap,he built a canoe and goes out onto the broads as well as other places in Norfolk and films some wonderful sights .Simon

We picked up the boat at Stalham and just went round the local pubs finding a nice out the way place to Moor for the night and partied on....fishing took a bit of a back seat but we managed a few jack and a couple of decent bream ..no eel I was to shite faced by night to care  if i take the lad next year it will be a totally different experience ..This was just a birthday party for my sister but I can see what could be...The boats are surprisingly easy to use..nowt to it.

Your'll be lucky to catch a eel on the broads any more as it goes, not one of any size anyway. Some stonking bream and roach but the big eels are long gone,a lovely place the broads but it sure has hidden dangers like all wet lands do but those dykes can be bigger and deeper than they look as a few men and dogs have found out  .I will say it really shows it's beauty after xmas when the grounds good and wet and the water meadows are half submerged with it's wildfowl and other wildlife that can be found in the right spots  ..

Know the Broads very well...fished a lot of it in my youth...the stretch down from Wroxham through Salhouse, Woodbastwick, Ranworth to Southwalsham and Upton is a little piece of England that remains pretty much untouched...my only gripe is these days its mainly 2nd homes and retirement places...the working people forced out through high property prices...not so many of the old characters...but some changes for the better...at least they dont flush the shitters on the boats straight into the water no more...havent been fishing for many years...but as Fireman said theres few eels about these days...we sold em by the bucket as kids...and the massive Pike they used to pull out the dykes and drains are nowhere near the monsters that used to be around...or so im told...briefly worked in one of the boat yards when i was at school...dont know if i'd fancy one of them holidays on the cruisers...bet i wernt cheap was it Kanny?...if you take your boy see if you can get hold of a 2 man canoe...best way to explore the inner Broads...see a bit of wildlife at dusk...and do a little fishing

Yeah aka there's quite a few millionaire houses along the way some are stunning but it's a shame that the locals loose out as you say.. The price was about 160 per head between 6 of us for 3 days the boat was nice all mod cons and that but not my choice if I go again. FB_IMG_1442423599800_zpsmtpkaheq.jpg

went on one of them for my 18th birthday in the beginning of feb! hell it was cold lol but an awesome holiday caught some cracking pike biggest at a smidge over 28lbs and lost and absolute monster! we just cruised around with the whole system to ourselves pretty much. when we got back home the first thing I did was get a loan and buy myself a canal cruiser. ive had boats ever since sometimes far more that I could ever use lol

been a few times since then but never in the summer, doesn't really appeal to me as much as the solitude of winter
