Guest Frank
Bet them their trout tasted nice Snoop. Personally, i love the daytime, cant beet it. Like Socks, i use to be mad for lamping in my younger years, out every night nearly of the dark moon. I have a hunting dairy/record, when looking back on it, i can see how obsessed i was, when it came to lamping!! I took a lot of rabbits ect, was more fit too. These days, love nowt more then watching a good runner work in daylight hours. Quote Link to post
poacher9991 10
a simple question ...if you could get the same amount of game in the daytime as you do on the lamp ....would you do more daytime hunting ...or would you still go out on the lamp as much as you do .....we all know there more game about at night ....or is it it easier to spot ....i can walk for miles and only see a few hares ..i know theres plenty about but but they are in the cover mostly threw the day same goes for rabbits in certain areas in which i hunt ......i know theres other reasons why people lamp ..... .....but lets say its perrmission and all game is legal to hunt with dgos .......my opinion is ..its a better dog that can catch 10 rabbits through the daytime than a dog catching 20 bunnies at night for obvious reasons there no artificial light to confuse the quarry for starters .....now before you all jump down my throat i love lamping as much as the next man ...but i prefer daytime ........whats your opinions would you go out more through the day if you could catch as much game ....alot off folk lamp also ..because its dark earlier in the hunting season and they have to work through the day ....like i do ....if i didnt have to work ...i for one would do a lot more daytime hunting ... I LIKE LAMPING BUT MUCH PREFER DAYTIME RUNNING IT MORE ENJOYABLE TO WATCH AND TESTES THE DOG OUT MORE AS WITH ON LAMP IF QUARRY GOES OUT OF BEEM ITS GONE Quote Link to post
lurcherchavvy 3
lamp through the week out at the crack of dawn on sundays or saturdays have a couple of hours out until you see farmers and then you f*ck off before the f*ckers get the pigs out Quote Link to post
shagly 0
I love both really for diffrent reasons, i was out on monday daytime with a mate and my lurcher and his, i have a stretch of land that has a load of burrows that are hard to get to due to a thick hedgerow, we net what we can and then have a dog each side of the hedge to run the bolters. i do enjoy it when we get a bolter and let the dog have a turn .
