You genuinely believe that?.

He didn't just as you put it, set fire to some curtains, he commited arson.

It was only by luck he didn't hurt anyone, the fire could have taken hold and caused death or deaths, and you are playing it down as not the crime of the century.

You left wing feckers amaze me with your grasp of reality, someone shouts wog at a black man and you're offended but a bit of fire starting is a hoot.

"playing it down as not the crime of the century" so you believe it WAS the crime of the century? I guess you just REALLY love curtains? The boys in the Bullingdon Club did much worse but I guess that's all ok because they used Daddy's money to pay everyone off.

Yes I do genuinely believe that once someone has served their time they should be free to earn a living

Would you prefer all convicted criminals spend the rest of their days on the dole because they're unemployable? :hmm:

No , I don't believe it was the crime of the century, I do however seem to think it was a more serious crime than you obviously do.

He has served his time yes and yes he should be free to earn a living, not however as a public servant paid for by my taxes and that was as a peer before being given this position I thought that.

Good example of a man to influence the masses.

On the subject of rehabilitation, I assume by your reasoning you would be happy with a convicted paedophile minding your kids for you.

When did it become the norm to have to explain why you dislike someone just because they happen to be black or to be honest anything other than white?. I'll tell you when, when the limp dicks the lef

If diane abbot was white she'd have been sacked years ago

Corbyn won't last too long.....he's novel & interesting at the moment to the media & general public alike, a good story........he isn't going to be a threat to Britain, just his own political

So I wasn't "playing it down" I was stating a fact, glad we can agree on that

Because a paedophile is on the same level as a drunken arsonist and has the same chances of rehabilitation, of course. Makes sense.

When did it become the norm to have to explain why you dislike someone just because they happen to be black or to be honest anything other than white?.

I'll tell you when, when the limp dicks the left wingers and blacks and ethnics themselves started using it as a form of defence.

I would dislike Abbott if she was pink with purple spots, I find her offensive and herself racist.

See how quick desertbred was to throw the colour equation in?.

I'm not genuinely a racist, but I'm fast becoming one, why?, by being told I am one and I should without question accept immigrants their customs without question.

If I'm being honest I find the liberal hand wringers more offensive and piss me off more than the immigrants themselves (ok for you DB) for they have an agenda whilst a lot of immigrants are just taking advantage of a situation, which if I'm being honest I would probably do myself.

I'm also sick of hearing about the contribution immigrants make to Britain and how Britain would grind to a halt if not for their input, my arse, their input is vastly outweighed by the cost, that old chestnut the nhs, we wouldn't need so many foreign workers employed in it if we didn't have so many bloody foreigners using it.

I'll tell you one thing though, when it's all said and done and everything else aside one simple fact is, and this includes you desertbred, the immigrant needs Britain a damn sight more than Britain needs them. A fact which is inarguable by the fact they are here in the first place.

So, to all immigrants, if you are not happy here, please feel very free to fcuk off back where you came from.

It wasn't perfect but we managed just fine before you came here and would do so again if you left and for me anyway you sure as fcuk won't be missed.

That'll be a no then?.

Of course it's a fecking no. How you can equate someone that did something incredibly stupid while drunk (haven't we all?) with a paedophile is beyond me

Now would I trust Lord Watson to look after my antique book and match collection that I happen to keep next to my barrels of brandy? Probably not. But I don't see how him setting fire to some curtains when pished effects his ability to help compile education policy :hmm:

So people can't grow and mature over 11 years?

Maybe prison straightened him out

I'm not actually comparing them merely trying to assess where in your mind set rehabilitation starts and stops, I totally agree with you that a peado is a no no under any circumstances.

However whilst I agree with you a rehabilitated offender shouldn't be denied a second chance I think in this instance, arson, the job the responsibility him being a public figure with a responsibility to conduct himself in a decent manner outweighs all that.

To be perfectly fair he got a second chance, he kept his peerage with it's associated perks. A damn sight more than us ordinary plebs would have.

I would also be a raving hypocrite if I said I hadn't cocked up on occasion whilst drunk, but even fecking legless I've never had the inclination to torch a hotel.

In my opinion there's a serious issue with this guy.

As the judge said, a strong likliehood of re offending, judges don't come away with that for no reason, and certainly not to a lord.
