Official Thl 2015 Rugby World Cup Thread

Recommended Posts

As a proud Englishman I'm ashamed to say I ever put my support behind that lot. They just didn't have the heart. It was like watching a secondary school second xv. So until next World Cup I'm going to have to support Ireland and/or Wales. Obviously not Scotland because they've never won anything rugby related and I don't suppose they'll learn to play now as they showed earlier today.

Well done the Aussies. You showed us a few things.

Positives from tonight. 1: At least we HAVE won a World Cup. 2: The attitude of the Welsh down the pub. 3: Free sausage and chips at half time.

Negatives: Everything else.

Unbiased punditry last night mind, man of the match on any other planet would've gone to Foley or Pocock but no good old Dallaglio and the other plank gave it to Launchbury.....and you all wonder why

Lol couldn't care if scotland got beat between last weekend and this one it's been fantastic watching engerland getting beat and making history for being Losers class

Guess it takes the pressure off you for doing it all the other years. I wish I could wait to pounce on Scotland for being shit at whatever sport, but it would just take up too much of my time.

All the hyperbole that was poo-pared in the press that last couple of days about it being the pool of death. It is wrong that 4 out of the top ten ranking teams are in the same group. Could you see a draw where New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and who ever is fourth in the rankings at the time, in the same group? It would be like holding the final in the group stages, not much of a spectacle.

At the end of the day, if you're not good enough, you're just not good enough. No shame in that.

I'm a rugby league fan but Iv tried to and have got right into this World Cup and have enjoyed some of it but all the kicking penaltys n fanying about with it have done my head in n loads of them penaltys look to be for fook all not to mention all the bad tackling and lack of bottle when running the ball in Iv seen, take watsons try tonight for excample he should have been smashed but the ausi clearly dodged him to his left n half heartedly brush passed him while then making a half hearted effort to then tackle him from behind which was as he knew full well was not good enough and to to late and made Watsons try look a lot better than it was, he could of and should of easily stopped him first attempt but didn't want to know and it wasn't even mentioned by the commentary...England were crap yeh union is still a tough game but not as tough as league IMO but to many not all but to many toffs in England's game for me n apart from there scrum game I don't think the Aussies were all that hot I think England were that bad they made them look good..

Underdogs like japan have impressed me and entertained me the most even tho they didn't get the bonus points il look forward to watching them do battle against USA next week as even tho some of them are half the size of there opponents they get proper stuck in n defo don't lack any bottle fair play to them they've surpassed themselves in this World Cup..

Iv been backing wales from the start as there a proper working class rugby nation so good luck with the rest of the World Cup wales done great so far..

I'm disappointed, didn't have the minerals , so many good players. I feel we were lacking some flair and also some pace on the wings , gutted.

I'm also disappointed by the welsh reaction, i've supported home nations throughout but i'm done with the world cup now. Good luck to those still in, adios.

I know what you mean Joe. Luckily the pub I go to are all decent sorts who even gave me a pat on the back and "bad luck". We've come to expect Scotland to cheer when we do badly, as us losing is their equivalent of winning and about as near as they will ever get, but the anti-English sentiment in general is going a bit far this year. That bellend on Heart radio Wales yesterday said numerous times "We are all honorary Australians today,"

Let's see how Australian they are next week. I still want Wales to do well despite that piss poor attitude.

It's just banter ! It's all part of the rugby environment

It's pretty funny England losing lol

Every other county love to see England lose because like I said before they think their up there with the best in the world but at this moment in time their not !

It looks like the Saudis are going to buy the toon and Mike Ashley will be gone..
Good news for them but  not for max. They will spend and climb the table for sure

As a seeker of truths and in order to establish some veracity of facts ,  yesterday I carried out a what’s app football questionnaire.
In order to maintain impartiality , I’ve awaited until the final results are in.... and it makes for interesting reading .
The conditions were set for a level playing field .reams of questions were filtered through however I decided on three questions alone to maintain ease of answer via the polling method of what’s app.
      1. Who in your opinion are the top 6 English football clubs regardless of league or current table position?
      2. Who would you say are the biggest English league side outwith big 6 ?
      3. Who is the bigger club Newcastle or Sunderland?
Answer in your opinion , no right or wrong .
Each question was asked individually, as in only when they Had responded to the first was the second sent and so on
the demographic was chosen with the following constraints
      1. No fans of either Sunderland or Newcastle were chosen to be questioned.
      2. I selected 20 people in order to make it a fair pool of people and to make % mathematics easier.
      3. All 20 lads are guys i have played football with or discussed football with at length.
      4. No members of the hunting life .
      5. 10 born and raised south of Birmingham . Including 2 welsh lads. 10 born north of Birmingham . Including 2 Scottish lads.
      6. All agreed to have the conversations and their findings included in the survey .
So with no further delay , is anyone interested in reading the results ?
Any ideas on how I could have set conditions to a fairer test?

Went to look at a house last week in which me and the missus fell in love with, we offered the asking price straight away and exchanged phone numbers with the couple.

They made it clear that they had a couple more viewings of the house and wanted to honour them. Come Tuesday morning I rang the estate agents at the crack of birdshit to get an update, they told me they were waiting on hearing off the other people first.

Come 11 I got a call and they told me someone had put in a bigger offer and they had accepted it. After falling in love with the house I wasn't happy about that so I put in a counter offer that was higher.

The estate agent got back to me saying that the couple was still sticking with that other offer and turned down our bigger offer. I asked what the fcuk for and the slag at the estate agents said had no answer and says they might have got a better vibe, wtf!

What pisses me off about the situation is the way they were when we viewed the house, I went with my newborn and missus and she loved it. The way they were, talking about this house being perfect for my new daughter to grow up in has really pissed me off.

I honestly feel like putting the fcuking Windows through and killing their cat hahahaha. I expect a phone call off the estate agent because the message I sent to the speccy eyed prick house owner is not pleasant to say the least. I hope the deal falls through and they end up living in a cardboard box the fcuking rats!!! ???
