Up here they're pretty much even calibre wise although there is a local shop which specialises in full bore and shotguns and they still just keep half a dozen air rifles in .22.

Had the same when i bought mine. numpties. the .177's a great choice for the ultra. accurate out to 60 yards easily. when you get it clean the barrel. they have all kinds of oil in em.

watch the mounts too. for some reason standard 9-11 mounts wouldn't fit even though they state the rails are 11mm. i went for bkl mounts.

Ive actually found that myself, not for an Ultra but most only stock the twenty two when it comes to the most expensive PCP's. Its probably the most popular calibre for people wanting to get into the sport of air guns etc and it costs money to keep 177's that no one will buy unless they know the reasons why.

Chances are that someone will walk in a buy a 22 over a 177.

Trouble is Rez , if know body keeps .177 people they cant buy it , same as any item ,if you have not got it on the shelf then you cant sell it

Agreed. Perhaps as a shop owner though, Ill make more money from 22's as its what 'most' people would look to buy.

You try sportarm in Dorch ?

No they have not got one either and £30 more , any way mine should be here Thursday

Sold the r10 as well and spoke to Darrin XTX AIR and booked in the ultra to have a reg , tune , longer cylinder and a shroud

This should give me 75+ shots per fill

I have been in these shops and when a customer asks which is the best for rabbits pigeons and all the other legal vermin , the answer is always .22 with AA fieds
