villaman 9,982
Phoned up and paid a visit to some air gun shops to day to try and get a .177 BSA ultra and all of them came out with " sorry dont keep .177 only .22 Know body wants .177 " so i had to put a order in for one , unbelievable !! Another rant over or a moan which ever way you look at it Quote Link to post
Seamaster 153
I didn't know there were still gun shops like that mate, twenty years ago maybe. Up here they're pretty much even calibre wise although there is a local shop which specialises in full bore and shotguns and they still just keep half a dozen air rifles in .22. Rez 4,961
Ive actually found that myself, not for an Ultra but most only stock the twenty two when it comes to the most expensive PCP's. Its probably the most popular calibre for people wanting to get into the sport of air guns etc and it costs money to keep 177's that no one will buy unless they know the reasons why. Chances are that someone will walk in a buy a 22 over a 177. Quote Link to post

Perhaps as a shop owner though, Ill make more money from 22's as its what 'most' people would look to buy. Quote Link to post

I have been in these shops and when a customer asks which is the best for rabbits pigeons and all the other legal vermin , the answer is always .22 with AA fieds How wrong are they 1 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Ha. Here we go... the f***ing calibre debate... Sometimes wouldn't it just be easier if there was one calibre. Like just one we don't know of... .122 1 Quote Link to post
