ftm 3,357
I gave it live quarry to early mate and it had [all cockers have this] enormous prey drive -was a cracking beating dog but you couldn't ask it to sit in a hide with you as it wanted to hunt! hunt! hunt! I blame myself for entering to early but cockers are a hard nut to crack compared to springers Quote Link to post

cantona 310
Are cockers as bad as salukis hopefully not, I'm getting one mainly for lurcher work , the reason I'm not getting a terrier is because they are more trainable 1 Quote Link to post

farmerkev09 105
I have a few of each and there's two were pups of the same age you have to spend time with the dogs and find there character the springer you only have to raise your voice and she knows she has done wrong the cocker I was always going out to him and scolding him only for the next time for him to do it again I would deffenatly say cockers are harder to train they are a bit head strong but once you pass the basics they are like a sponge and learn so quick for hunting ability there second to none Atb farmer Quote Link to post
