Any Nice Litters About?

Recommended Posts

Hi im after a pup would consider any breeding as long as its got working parents, wouldnt mind colliexwhippetxgreyhound, bedlingtonxgreyhound whippetxgreyhound something along them lines.I have been looking for a long time but due to working long hours/working away i havn't committed to getting a pup as i want as much free time as possible to bring it on.Now due to a change in cirumstances i have got a lot more free time.I live in north wales mainly hunt hilly ground but also some flatter areas want something with a nice bit of speed, brains and plenty of prey drive. The dog will be used for rabbits (lamping, working with ferrets/terriers,general moocing). The pup will be given a home for life and plenty of exercise/work,i live in the conwy area of north wales but am willing to travel for the right dog.Any decent litters from working parents drop me a message.

Cheers ATB.

Got a litter due myself early next week between my bitch and a friends dog.

Well,..we are all different,...and nowadays,...I only hunt the coney,...and lurchers that exhibit the amazing,.terrier-like prey drive,.. of a good working whippet,.really do fit the bill....IF I need

Currently sat watching her have them, 3 dogs 2 bitches so far! It's going to be a long night..

That's what I was thinking something similar,my mate had a collie x Bedlington x greyhound and that was a good bunnie dog.Im not going to rush into anything ill wait for the right dog,I thought I'd post on here to see what litters are about.

"Nice Litters",are bred to be "nice" and are seldom the sort of litter that are bred with an hunting edge,to suit "hunters".Id source an honest hunting bred litter, less nice, yet more productive in the field, for every honest litter there will be another bakers dozen that never see heat?.

But just remember some nice litter do graft to mate,at the end of the day if that the breed you fancy don't jump into the 1st litter you see.if need be travel to find the one that catchers your attention mate it doesn't hurt to look as you don't have to comit to buy mate.but there is some good whippets about mate that might do you just as good for ferreting and general mooching its might be worth looking at.but there will be a litter due on here soon mate look at the leg over thread and give him a pm they sound up your street.atb

Many of the best lurchers ever bred,or entered, have Whippet in the pedigree, fact, alas they are seldom the type of lurcher that many of us seek to get lurcherwork done, another fact that Whippety owners are reluctant to concur with,id not own a runner with whippet in the mix, possibly because im reluctant to take the steps backwards before i started to make results that other options are more reliable at?.

Fair point,i think a lot of it comes down to ground you hunt and what you want out of the dog.

Fair point,i think a lot of it comes down to ground you hunt and what you want out of the dog.I've got a possible pup in line now 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington, parents are grafters as well so fingers crossed on that.

IF the ground we hunt Favours anything with Whippet or beddy in the mix,im the biggest Beddy fan,id start anew, they lack far to much in the field, all the time.
