meldino2005 39
How do all. My problem is regarding my variation form, i have on my fac 17hmr,223 and fac air, im removing the fac air as ill never really use it and replacing it with .243 as i have ground now with deer on. i was told if i discard one calibre for another there is no charge? is that right? also it states on the form reason for and land /club details but with me having an open ticket do i still have to put land down? hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
There should be no charge mate,I would speak to plod and mention the swapping calibres, and ask them about the land, just because you have an open ticket with .223 and .17 does not automatically mean you will have with a .243, you more than likely will, but it is not set in stone,I would imagine if your land is passed for .243 or above it will be no problem, but if previously you only had land passed for .223 they will want to see proof that you have land passed for the bigger calibre, best thing you can do is speak to them. Brickhill 28
What deer do you have on your land? I note that your location is mid Wales. It's possible to have .223 conditioned for CWD and Muntjac but it's probably unlikely you have these species? Quote Link to post
slipper 116
Probably fallow deer up there Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
All I do is fill out the form 202 and write a cover note saying you want a 1 for 1 variation and would also like the open ticket for the .243. Atb Dan Quote Link to post
