Any one used ivermectin on ther birds ? Iv got mights in one of my sheds tryed powders duramightx but still can't shift um , vet suggest ivermectin

Just seen it's on the fowl bit ,i thought it was on the caged bird section so it might not be sutable the stuff he has for caged birds.sorry.

Are they mites or lice? You can use ivermec ! I use panomec injection give each fully grown bird 1/2 ml just under the skin does all internal and external parasites

Iv had duramightx off taz but still got the mights ! If I use ficam how long do you have to leve shed empty for ? Thanks

If you are useing ficam w you will have to leave it a couple of hours to dry out mate before the birds can go back in the shed.creasote is good stuff or catch taz for duramitex as you might not of diluted it properly.ivemectan is just to treat your birds not the shed mind so you will have to do both.do your birds tomorrow when they are thirsty so you know they are getting the ivemectan as it only last 24hrs in the water and treat your shed to

I've found the best thing for mite and other sundries is diesel, can taint your eggs so be careful when applying near your nest boxes.

Thanks for all replys , going to empty shed then disinfect with bio shield let dry then spray it with duramightx and ivermectin the birds (spot on treatment) and on next dry day I will get the out side creosoted

Would regular dosing with ivomec not eventually kill off mites living in the shed the same way spot on flea treatments do in the household?

You will still have to test your shed mate mite still breed to if ya don't.

I've used ivermectin on my birds and it 100% works. We bought it as a goat wormer but if you put a few drops on the neck of your birds the mites will fall off really quick. Me and my wife were shocked how well it worked.

Did birds on Monday and disinfected all sheds and so far so good

good soaking with duramitex and they will be gone remember both inside and outside roof and floor must be done make a barrel of duramitex up dunk birds and you will be sorted,fitcam a waste of time imo mate

We breed and sell 1000s of birds every year ivermectin 0.08% worked better and cheaper than any other treatment and it's not even prescribed for poultry they drop off immediately. Creosote your shed once a year and keep up to date with your ivermectin you won't go wrong at all.
