Moorside 642
Does anyone run fell/lakie/border type x Whippets on here I would be very interested to here how they perform......and particularly in how well that very hard dense jacket from that type of terrier carries when used on a Whippet. samurai 178
Yes I run a border Lakeland 3/4 whippet he will smash through anything hunts well with the cocker spaniel who will also go anywhere even to ground lol he hasn't got the turn of speed his father the pure whippet has but is well quick enough but he is more obedient than him works half decent to the whistle but not like the cocker one problem though he is a Cnut with dogs while on the lead but doesn't seem to bother that much while loose I think he will meet something with teeth this season and I think he will cope quite well his two brothers are local as well as his mother and her sister and all are good catch dogs, one of his brother s which my daughter owns is really quick but he has quite a bit more length on him this one is capable of faster gear but they are only coming on this season and he is still a bit puppyish but time will tell. 2 Quote Link to post

krawnden 1,036
The sire of my young bitch is first cross border/whippet. He has a great coat and is quick for a busher, but not fast enough to take a rabbit on open ground. Quote Link to post
