Corkman 944
The outcross needs to be in place way before that mate ,never let the size dwindle . Interesting stuff from both sides of the divide. In fairness to all, once men are honest with themselves and what is in their kennel and only breed for work then the working terrier atributes should remain strong just different paths trying to get to the same place. Some may get there faster than others, others may never get there! To foxdropper: a few genuine questions for if you feel like answering as I'd like to get a feel for what you do? 1) could note down the last 5 crosses you have bred. i.e. Grandfather x granddaughter, half brother x half sister, uncle x niece, brother x sister. 2) what % sucess rate have you had in these last 5 litters assuming average litter size of 5-7 pups? 3) you say the outcross should be in place before weakness/ faults show? Is your outcross a total outcross or somewhat related to have been in place? Be nice to know above. Ta Corkman 3 Quote Link to post
