A mate of a mate was ferreting a hedgerow with permission a few years back, some local busy body appeared and told them she was going to phone the police if they didn't stop, they told her (politely) they had permission from the landowner, and had every right to be there ferreting, 15 minutes after she disappeared the coppers turned up in 3 vehicles, and with bad attitudes until they realised the lads weren't breaking any laws, even then i think they made the lads pack up for the day.........no legal right to do that at all? And the same force that's under investigation for covering up pedo grooming, worlds gone mad
