For The Irish Ferreting People

Hi All

 

have learned so much reading this forum, but i have 2 questions if you wouldn't mind please.

 

Does anyone know where to get fibreglass poles in Ireland, I have sourced some previously from allpropped.co.uk and they were reasonable price, great quality but shipping to rep of Ireland is a nightmare.

 

Question number 2

 

there used to be a man in Kanturk Co.Cork who made nets, sheet netting etc.,, anyone who this man is and how to get in contact with him ?

Only place I get them is country fair Birr does be a scots lad there selling them 5 euro each,,,,,,,,or cut hazel..............

thanks fly, i saw him last week at it alright but he was out of poles.

€5 a pole is bit expensive isnt it,

there has to be another source in Ireland surely somewhere.

Long net poles by bridport nets are £4.50',,,,so you paying €5 is cheap fella

there is a company in uk called allproppedup.co.uk and they are only charging a 13.90 per 5 metre length, thats less than £3 a pole.and bigger discounts on larger numbers., i have got the poles from them are they are perfect, only problem is delivery to ireland is a nightmare.

Have you tried them.?

irishboy drop me a line,i have a lot of poles for ye 1 euro a meter(thats what i bought em for,and i know john in kanturk very well ,i was chatting to him last sunday in Birr,i can help there too,i have a few gate nets you can have free if thats what you want,pm me your location and if its not a million miles away i will drop em off to ye.
