There is no point in meeting with Tim Bonner until or unless we can offer a comprehensive and well thought out plan of action to improve the status of the working lurcher; a plan that can be highly visible and approved by the CA. To do that we need to put in place a strong working group who will have the stamina and interest to see things through and be available and willing to work ridiculously hard long term.

could nt agree more skycat can you sort this out for Monday next because the posters think we're are going round in circles and nothing is happening :whistling: there is going to be a lot of meetings to sort out what needs putting to the CA(did nt want to mention Tim Bonner he might of left by the time were ready)the ALC were going 5yrs before they drew theres up and thats getting swept aside on here even though the CA recognise it.

IF you thought this could be an overnight success think again, this is NOT negativiety its the reality of what it will take

This will be a long term campaign, tough and certainly not for the weak hearted or those who cannot commit to and stick to the proposals as regards time and enthusiasm. Every body ,who is involved in

The term lurcher work covers a wide spectrum of countryside and sporting activities. I personally dont think joe public has any great objections to lurcher work as most of them wouldnt know or unders

You seem to know what you're on about Penny, are you up for organising it ? i dont have any experience with stuff like this. It had got complicated though and i thought a simpler approach would be a better start.

I will do anything to make this work. I'l stand as a local area rep or whatever. I'm just not knowledgeable enough to be one of the small group that should meet the CA or set up strategy and plans.

A group of five respected people have been approached , in regard to drafting an agenda and presentation to place before Tim Bonner at the proposed meeting with C/A If these people accept the challenge it should be a powerful presentation to advance our cause..Once the parties have either accepted or refused the task requested their names will be posted, Hopefully they all are willing to take up the mantle for the challenge in front of us for the future of working dogs.

The CA have in place a code of conduct for lurchers and a representative at present, theres only place for one representative be that MFH, NCC ALC so where has TB offered you a seat on the CFH? Who represents your club on the CFH?

As far as I have been informed We as a like minded group have been offered a meeting with Tim Bonner to discuss and present what we would like to see happen, the presentation being talked of will be the most efficient way for us as an entity to get our aspirations and desires across . As far a I am aware we are not under any compulsion to be part of MFH, NCC or ALC, you are assuming we will be offered a seat, you appear to be well ahead of yourself. This is a preliminary meeting and . untill we receive the confirmed appointment for the "meeting" we are in preparation mode. If you would like to contact Mr Bonner as to his intentions then please do so.. Who has mentioned replacing any code of conduct ?you I think, You appear to be either privy to information we are not yet aware of or again way ahead of yourself..

Comon lads, there seems to be a little animosity here, lets try and remember that while we may have differing ideas and opinions ultimately we want the same thing, and that is or should be to try and secure the future of working/hunting with dogs. Until a couple of days ago ideas of a comittee/group etc was just an idea being banded around on THL and now we are on the verge of something very real happening and taking a step in the right direction. Lets not fall at the first hurdle, there is too much at stake! far too many would love it to fail before it started, and that doesnt just include all the lunatic antis, Lacs etc, but even other THL members....personally the knockers on THL and other forums are worse than the anti squad, you expect it from them but not from other working dog owners. lets keep it on track.

well whos informed you when Im on the same mailing list? has this undercover site been opened to a certain few? Tim Bonner agreed to meet Dewclaw who had contacted him and is waiting for TB secretary to give him a date(3/9/15) it finished with "ARE YOU EVER IN LONDON?OR COULD WE MEET ELSEWHERE?

"we are not under any compulsion to be part of MFH, NCC or ALC " partly make up the Council of Hunting 1 representative from each group

"I am assuming we will be offered a seat"they already have a lurcher representative on there

Where in dewclaws email does it say "we as a like minded group have been offered a meeting with TB?

How can this like minded group be taken seriously without a code of conduct it will be one of the first things asked for and where is it?

Leeview whos agenda you trying to push? or is it my buttons you are trying to push you will fail on either count so give it up and try to be productive or constructive. If we are doomed to failure then recline and enjoy the spectacle strange many more appear to be proactive and positive on this matter you appear to be in a minority of detractors. any way as many have said no handbags at dawn you in your small corner and me in mine . Who mentions being offered any seat ? and are you privy to whom I can or do have access to ?

Draft Committee.

After a lot of hard work over the last few days regarding this, a draft committee has been identified / appointed to move this forward.

The members in this committee are as follows.

Thanks for all your input.

This is the beginning of a huge venture that will demand much commitment by those involved for the benefit of many.
