Some of the lads who frequent some of the other sections on here , ferreting. falconry, groundwork shooting etc can you just put a quick pointer on those sections to see if any of those on those sections will join hands in a new association, no doubt a lot only go on the sections relative to their interests so may not be aware what we are proposing, the same could possibly done on other sites also ,no doubt we may attract attention from the antis but they will already have the jungle drums beating the momentum needs to be maintained as the proposed amendments to be discussed may take place sooner rather than later so preparation needs to be complete to ensure full and proper representation.

This will be a long term campaign, tough and certainly not for the weak hearted or those who cannot commit to and stick to the proposals as regards time and enthusiasm. Every body ,who is involved in

The term lurcher work covers a wide spectrum of countryside and sporting activities. I personally dont think joe public has any great objections to lurcher work as most of them wouldnt know or unders

coursers post says he would initially chair the the meeting to elect a committee if the meeting feels it needs a new chairman so be it and he'll give all the support he can.

I'd stick with courser to get us up and running first his knowledge and experience is invaluable

PM and ask him. He is just as welcome as anyone else and free as any one else to post put forward his ideas thoughts suggestions, His expertise is invaluable .The question that we need to answer is how to move forward and away from ways that have been found wanting C/A according to his own post discarded the ALC and Mr Bonner is prepared to talk and meet a new group with fresh proposals ,surely that is the correct path to tread, the C/A needs a shake up also but Rome was n0t built in a day but it burned over night.thorough preperation and well placed foot steps will gain us everything with unity.

You appear to be discarding a lot of other people with expertise in plenty of areas. As far as I can see our aims and aspirations are all close, the contention is a new association or the ALC . To me to much baggage is attached to the old association so why not a new one based on popular choice and the aspirations of today?Isnt the name Rebranding.

I have asked courser if would attend the meet, im yet to get a reply. It doesn't matter whether its a new club/group or association or built on the existing ALC (this can all be ironed out face to face), what we need is to sit down asap with all interested parties to discuss moving forward and yes my belief is courser should at least attend the preliminary meet if not to go and meet Bonner as i believe his experience will be priceless should we succeed.

I dont doubt some people may have expertise in the feild but who has expertise in media and communicating with national bodies?

maybe persons should let us know what attributes they can bring to the table?

We shouldn't treat this as a job interview, any one with the passion to stop this suffocation of lurcher work should be actively involved lets work together and get this on track, the more people and the more experience we have the better Imo.

I have 30 years planning and strategy experience as well as negotiation with bodies such as SEATO, NATO , up to Ambassador level and I have ran and hunted dogs for over 60 years if they are considered attributes and just as a gambit I have ruled myself out of running for office but will offer my services in an advisory capacity.

Me!

I deal with global C-level people all the time. Not the media granted but still have to project a squeaky clean image of complete professionalism and be able to communicate effectively with very senior people ;)

As I said before I would be happy to get on-board, just feel people may take umbridge with me living in Spain.

I have a couple of contacts in media channels that I may be able to tap into to gain traction into mainstream media. This is a thought not a guarantee ;)

thats an impressive cv, you have your reasons for not running for office fair enough.

I'm sure there is a lot of knowledge in the field out there, but a lot, less experience that can talk or debate at the highest level and thats whats needed IMHO

The future of this sport is going to be sorted round a table not in a hedge bottom hence we need articulate voices to speak on our behalf

The foaming at the mouth and chomping is a bit of a Rabid description  but many lads want to move it to the next level, As for you you can put thinking caps on regarding attracting members, forwarding suggestions you would like discussed make suggestions how you want to move forward . side issues need to go on the back burner and one thing is for sure no one person is bigger than what we want to achieve.
