Working Presa Canario Breeders

Do you know of any knowledgable breeders working with Presa??? Has anyone had any dealings with cuff kennels

I swear i read a post like this very recent? Have a search. I had a look on google for j7 kennels which seems to pop up abit when talking presas. Quite nice dogs, some remind me abit of a catchweight bull. Never seen a presa in the flesh or what their temperament is like. Just like how some seem in decent shape i prefer a more leaner dog than the dogs people think look bigger and better when what id class as fat.

yeah they looked quite nice probably best ive seen online. Dunno if its my love for staffs that makes me some what not be a big fan of big dogs. Just prefer a more leaner build and think all breeds look better in shape.

Quite a variation in the breed isn't there some look like a lab x mastiff.i quite like look of some of them.but not the real massive ones.

The real massive ones are usually crossed with other bigger mastiff breeds, there's a lot of fake "presas" out there. In the US they even split them into Dogo Canarios and Presa Canarios with one being the actual Presa from the Canary Islands and the other being the "recreated breed" from the '80s made up up from various mastiff and bulldog types crossed together.

 

Have to be real careful in picking a breeder to make sure you get the real deal.

We had a pressa about 10 yrs ago. Spike. I've had lurchers. Terriers. And staffs. And the most loyal family friendly intelligent and trustworthy dog we ever had was spike. My young lads would sit on the carpet eating ther dinner Infront of the TV and he would sit by there side and not 1 glance at there dinner. There was no need to lock the back door at night as he would sleep in the kitchen. And I've knocked around with some real handy lads. And I know for a fact he was a real man stopper. He loved whole gutted rabbits with the fur on they were like crisps to him lol a few crunches and it would be gone. Tremendous biting power more that twice the power of a good staff. Here's a few pics.

Lol he would shit like a human. But I will never forget him 8yrs later we still talk about him In the house every few weeks.

Looks a nice type, if they mean Irema Curto lines then that's the real deal, known some impressive dogs down from those lines

Thanks BGD me and the wife have spoke about him. And we both agree maybe once in a lifetime you will own a dog who will make a massive impression in your life. I can't quite put my finger on it so to speak but he touched us in a way we will never forget. It sounds daft mate but that's what he done. Even the kids often talk about spike. We would part with untold money to have him from a pup again.
