tjones3862 3,423
Just to clarify, the ferrets are experience in their jobs and no baby rabbits/nests dug to, In fact no digging at all. Also, no ticks or fleas found. After 20+ years at the ferreting game I think I'm well qualified to make a decision about when and where I choose to ferret. Thanks to all the supportive comments. As an aside, we had nests in December here. ,,keep the posts coming all winter , i will look forward to see how your going on ,,atb,,,,,,,O bye the way i all so have young in dec,,,, but i dont stay were im born,,lol get in me motor and go to higher ground,,,, every bodys a winner even the rabbits Edited September 3, 2015 by tjones3862 Quote Link to post

green lurchers 16,772
gaz ,,,some folk go to the same old blackpool every year,, and then you have the other,s ,,, what want a little more life,,, any way getting back to the post I DONT LIKE FERRETING IN SUMMER,,, i dont think thats a bad thing,,, ,i think you will see some of the big boys on here and many more will start putting post,s there ferreting trips late sept, , and will do all the season on and offffffff, may be these are all old school prats,, like me,,,lol theres a lot will sit on fence with this one, ,,may be ferreting his not there game,, , but iff they was to ask a local chap from there town,, whos bin to the moon and back ferreting and takes it to a good standard they would get the answer, its to early matey ,,, You might be right Jim. I don't really class myself as a ferreter. I'm a lurcher man. The ferrets are only here to provide a little daytime sport for the dogs. I've only ever been ferreting twice to get big numbers and not took the dogs. The rest of the time it's just to bolt the odd one for the dogs. If last day in august is too early for that then so be it, shoot me down now, I'm a summer hunter. Lol well done for getting out and having a bit of fun with the kids ferret and lurchers Quote Link to post
