Good luck with the pup lad, after working with lurchers for over 30 years i have started to look outside of the box, when you get to the stage where you can't keep up with your dogs breed a dog that hunts at your pace. A.T.B. C.D

Thanks for the comment, I cant take credit for these hound crosses there my uncles lines, but one thing I can say is it was a good idea using the fell. The foxhound is first and foremost a working dog that chases down it's quarry (obviously mostly with the nose) but it hunts to kill the fox - the same quarry us lurcher men work (preban) it seems mad the lurcher world has never really looked to the hound cross in a bigger way. They are hard as nails they really are, will run in any weather across the most rugged terrain, will run for miles and miles, are game as anything. These are all qualities a lurcher requires. Yes If I can find a 1/2 or 3/4 X or even a fell hound its self....but it's difficult, It would be nice to go back in with another fell hound/grey in the future for sure to keep the line going.

These dogs really do look good. In the future i will really be considering this cross even the first cross looks quick enough but the feet on all the fogs posted look spot really solid boned too. Be good to see a regular update on these pups as its the first real post iv seen on this cross which makes a change to peopel asking about this cross and the next. Hope the pups do well.

I'll keep adding to the post over time, as I want to show what the x can do, as I said earlier in the post its my uncle who has bred the line from the start they have good attributes, good speed/stamina are brave and biddable and the key is the parents take all game so I cant see why these pups shouldn't have a good working life.

They come up mate, a friend of mine uses some with 1/8th and some with 1/4 hound runs them like a small fell pack absolutely incredible to see, hunt up for miles on there own. There was a litter in North Wales only last month, 1/2 hound x 1/4bull 1/4 grey. They was only 150 a pup as well, and proven woking lines. There is a few lads about breeding and hunting these types mate.

Few update picks of the bitch - not long finished her 1st heat, Will slowly start picking up a bit of bike work but I don't like starting too early in the summer. Like most of the fellas on here roll on the season!! Will see what this bitch is made of and I hope she can become a good all round bitch with the heart to deal with whatever comes her way ;) so far, so good.
