VWman 232
I need a scope mounted torch for my HW air rifles. I have had a quick search to remind me of what I have seen on hear bur am confused. I have just been looking at Ward optical site but don't understand about IR. I have an IR illuminator that some one has lent me mounted to an IR viewer that is used when he takes his dogs out and you can see just like the night vision scope, no use to me for shooting. So do I need a white led torch with filters. What is t20 what dose that mean. I only want a light one but good quality with rechargeable and a remote switch. Is there better type of bulb ? what is a cree torch ?. Cheers. Quote Link to post

treecreeper 1,136
Ir is infra red light and invisible to the human eye but certain cameras can pick it up. So ir on its own is of no use to the mk1 eyeball. Quote Link to post

It's big enough to club a rabbit in one hit LOL. I was thinking of putting a white bulb in it what do you think. 1 Quote Link to post

moxy 617
Ir means infrared. An illuminator for night vision. T38 relates to the lens size in mm. With the t20 being an exception. Because the lens is larger than 20mm. Cree is a brand or style of torch. As for changing pils (or led units) for multi coloured ones I think your going to struggle. However. Pains me to say but Deben do a kit and it's ok. Rechargeable kit. Focusable lens. Scope clamp and tail switch. 3 power settings on a separate button. Red led only. £ but I dare say you can find it cheaper online. Quote Link to post
