keith am gutted for you ,theres nothing wrong with a tear it shows how much you care mate , was it an open wound keith coz with tess being so young theres many a dog make a full recovery ,ive lost a few dogs due to broken legs ,the first I tried to get repaired cost 1800 and due to getting a infection weeks later had to be pts and I was gutted 5 days before Christmas ,the next I didn't want to put the poor thing through al the shi, so I got her pts on the spot ,theres a lot of after care needed to make a full recovery and I wish you al the best with what every way you go ,its hard to make that choice and it don't matter what people say you will follow your heart and do whats best for the dog atvb bobza

Not what I was expecting to read when I clicked on the thread, no one can deny how much you care for your dogs and I can't imagine how gutted you must be, from your updates it looks and sounds like yous were having a ball... The 3 of you! Reading between the lines I'm sure you'll do the nessessary by the pup and if it's fixable then I'm sure you won't give up on it, I was out with a mate must be 5-6 yr ago and his 14mth old dog broke his leg in 2 places. The easy route was to remove the leg, the easier route was to pts, BUT he was given hope that the leg could be saved he walks with a slight limp but runs as well as he did before and with the amount of titanium in that leg he's going straight to the scrappies when he goes.. Chin up IWW I hope it all works out for you. :thumbs:

Just of the phone to keith not easy to talk so fecking sad he's made his decision and it's the right one he gutted can't face the forum just now but will be on after again so sad atb

So sad the man really puts the effort in and his love of the game and his animals really come through in his posts.atb.
