hi can anyone offer any advise i bought a secondhand tikka in .222 for fox control what is the best bullet to use and what is the best weight taa daz

Factory/homeload they all do diffrent things but if its for charlie i use v-max/homeloaded in a 22.250.You would be best with 50g in you rifle.

i have a tikka t3 in .222 .i tried the 50 grain federal soft point ok 100 yds, but over that and started to drift .i now use the norma 40 grain in the gun and its out standing and flat to 200 yds

give em a go you wont look back

thanks lads for the bullet info havent used rifle yet had a job getting mounts for the tikka but got them today will let you know how the bullets go

I agree with Tikka the Norma I have foundout performs the fed or winch each time, I would like to go too home loads though....its too costly with factory loads.

if your shooting close up stuff 100-150 yrds you can use a lighter round but 200-300 yrds you need to go that bit heavier as you will find a lighter bullit will drift and lose speed over distance
