Kal 17
I think a key decision to make is how you are going to attach your bands to the forks, this will affect your choice. For bands there are many options: flat bands like Theraband (a lot of people use gold as it is the most powerful), traditional square cut elastic and tubes. There are loads of options for configuring your set up: Tapered flat bands are popular - and doubling them up will increase speed. Most configurations will be capable for use in hunting; you need to be hitting at around 200 fps. If it you're using large/ heavy ammunition such as 10mm lead or 12mm steel then your bands will need to be capable of firing it; similarly lighter ammo will require lighter/ faster bands. Some people on here use 8 - 10mm hex nuts...and seem quite successful. At the moment I'm using 9mm steel with orange dub dub (tubes) on an old Black Widow.
