Well we've been all over today, had a bloke from uk deer track and recovery come and go over the area in the hope it might pick up some blood, but no joy. So on the upside I think she's alive and well but f**k no's where she's gone to? I think we've just got to hope she gets picked up by someone soon. Thanks to everybody that's helped and for the well wishes.

I'll let everybody no when she's been found, whatever the outcome.

Cheers ant

Ant, try and get some familiar scent out, a old jacket maybe, or a pair of socks, some thing she associates with home / security her bed blanket, up wind from where she was last seen, that type of dog would pick the scent up miles away, the area is strange to her, once the panic has subsided, she will go back to using her nose,

was gonna post the same thing . I seen that tactic posted years ago online and saved it to my bookmarks for future reference . This is what i seen

Great idea, get it on as many rambling and fell walking facebook groups as you can find, next to hunters they'll be the folk most likely to stumble across her

yes good idea and any facebook groups to do with the local villages or local free cheap items that have a high member ship. This is one thing facebook is good for. Most the country is on it

Cover a large area too with it surprising the distance a lost dog can clock up

few groups

Another good way is to walk home with your boots off, stocking feet lay a good line of scent back,if ever we had a dog hunt off in a wood and were unable to locate it, the dog would hunt back to you,the old man swore by it,

Good news mate, let us know how she gets on at the vets. Hopefully just need treatment for shock and abit of spoiling. Nice looking dog not heard of the breed before but like the look of her.
