Best Skip Find?

Recommended Posts

Was subbying at a place, and was half a day of kicking about, so give their firms store man a hand getting rid of junk into the skip, he hands me a desk charger and 4 motorola walkie talkies.... can I have em? Couldnt belive it getting about 350 quid on ebay for them, was about 15 year ago and was a handy bonus. A touch like that helps to keep the eyes peeled ;)

A lot of workmen for big firms will do this a mate of mine worked at a big factory where they produced oak furniture they would chuck anything out with a minor mark on it, wardrobes TV cabinets loads of oak stuff he used to put it all in the back of his van at the end of the day and sell it all on, Infact he even got crafty in the end and would take the undamaged stuff and put it in the bin still in packaging saying it was broke and take brand new stuff also he doesn't work there anymore however so work that one out

Used to do a bit of work at Earls Ct, and seen some gear getting delivered for exhibitions and then seeing it getting exited and away. Funniest one I heard of was a big f**k off boat disapearring from the boat show! My first house looked like an exhibition stand... & so did a lot of families and friends LOL Must say though, felt better about stuff coming from the end end of a show rather than before...

I worked at a house two weeks ago, next door was a garden about 50 metres long that was jam packed with rubbish.

The garage roof and flat roof extension was stacked about 3 ft deep with old car bonnets, wood, tin and anything else that could be got up there.

It turned out the old guy who lived there had been a skip diver to the extent of it being a mental illness, anything left anywhere he would pick up and take home.

Remember Edmund trebus off the old life of grime tv series,he was like that, lol
I had a ferret called Edna grebus after watching that show lol she was a Jill so I modified the name to sound like Edmund trebus

Just been out for a couple of hours with the dog when I noticed something interesting sticking out the top of a skip! It just so happens the bike wheel I noticed was attached to a Giant mountain bike.alloy frame suspension forks I'm well chuffed.all it needs is new handle bars and chain.

The best thing i found in a skip was a smack-head that only charged me £3,they usually charge a £5.
what a tot rash !!!
