Vets Flea Treatment ?

Recommended Posts

I've just done a couple of days ferreting with the hobs and all 3 are absolutely ringing with ticks.. It was a paid pest job next door to a Deer park and the amount of stuff crawling off the bunnies was rough.

It would take me a week to pick every single one off the poor fellas,So I've sprayed them with some Beaphar Cat/Kitten flea spray and I've given them a spot-on of Ivermectin pigeon/bird drops according to their weights, plus a bit for good measure. I can see they're dying and dropping off already so I'm sure in a few days they will be ok.

I cant afford to be going to vets for advocate spot-ons for 9 ferrets. . . ( not all mine.. I've got Tomo's team while he's away )

Ivermectin is great. I had some last season for my canaries. Its strong stuff. Getting out early in the season your prone to those harvest mites.I put a couple of drops of ivermectin on the ferret and sorted the mites out.I know a few people got those orange shits on there ferrets just to lose them.
