fireman 10,869 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Share Posted August 14, 2015 First bird The 3rd pic down Gnasher shows the wing butts(the leading edge into flight or the like the bicep on us)these are very brown feathered on a hen and like this on a cock,mostly black with a bit of brown in it and your right a well marked hen or a poorly marked cock can confuse matters .There is also the nose hairs to go on and they are again black on a cock and brown on a hen,head shape and the look will come with experiance in telling sexes and it's pleasing when you suprise yourself sometimes with just looking and knowing what sex a bird is ..
