shepp 2,285
They do well on a ban on fat people now that's summat I could get right behind lol Funny how some folk think that by ridiculing an easy target they somehow become superior and look good....Bullies I think they call them. Id f**k them off with the rest of the bigheads who like dictating to others what they should DO and LOOK like. If not easy, at least a very large target lol

Hydropotesinermis 724
I have never smoked but I have also never supported the ban, smoking in pubs nevet bothered me, smoking in beer gardens certainly doesn't, I can't understand why the government want to stick their fuxking oar in again.

WILF 47,971
Choose your battles wisely. It dont show all the shit they put in food, drinks and the myriad other things that kill you, what about that great USA product corn syrup ?........I bet that is killing just as many people as fags..........if you only included driving and yoga in a study it would show that having a motor car is killing 99.9% of people when you compare the two things.......I'm not saying smoking don't kill you but at least lets have it right........chose your statistics wisely The thread is about smoking so he showed stats showing smoking related deaths. If the thread was about car accidents or food additive related deaths then another set of statistics would be relevant. Have you been regularly eating Radon sarnies at lunch then ?.......have a bit of recreational radio therapy?..........sprinkling asbestos on your garden?........going out to the second hand smoke stockist ?.........I have, I thought everyone did !!! f**k sake !! jacknife 2,005
They should never have banned it in pubs......allow the pub to decide they either become smoke or non smoke Then customers can make their own choice
yorkshire 151
Why do Politicians not have to adhere to a smoking ban in Parliment if they say the rest of the population must in Public Houses ect ? Because they are hypocrites , much like one type of hunter decrying another . same shit different scenario
DIDO.1 22,846
I'm all for freedom of choice but I did support the indoor ban. It was horrendous going for a night out and breathing other people's smoke all night....Yes we had freedom of choice but at 17-18 you want a social life and you have to go out. Also the staff had to breath other people's smoke...look at Roy castle. The problem with smokers is they are selfish, I stopped at food van by the road the other day with my two young sons and two smokers could clearly see they were blowing smoke all around the kids....or when you walk in a pub and have to walk through a group of smokers and their cloud of smoke. If there was a total ban on smoking I'd prob take up the habit just to stick two fingers up at the Goverment and stupid laws but smokers don't help themselves sometimes with their selfish ways
Accip74 7,112
I quit smoking a couple of years before the ban, although it didn't bother me....in fact I thought it was a good idea for restaurants, I do think they went about it in the wrong way...... They should of allowed establishments to have the smoking room option. A lot of pubs could of easily facilitated this & it would of kept everyone happy & a minimum loss of business........It's what they do here, although I would say a smoking room is the exception rather than the rule, most places are smoke free, but they are available........saw a posh one the other day actually...... But what a paradox it is......when you can allow a building full of people to throw as much alcohol down their necks in an evening, then set them free on the high street to cause untold grief!......,,,but a smoking room is unacceptable? Haha.....
