New Stalker In The Area

Recommended Posts

Now im not a deer stalker or do any sort of shooting apart from a few rabbits and woodys with my air rifle but i do know if im going to shoot something i intend to take in down with one shot. Well the other day i was down my road and i came round a corner and saw a man standing on the side of the road looking over my feilds with binoculars now normally i would just carry on as theres always tourists and crag rats knocking about. But this fella looked the part stood with his truck and i could see his rifle on the back seat so i pulled over to ask who he was and what he was doing. He politlely told me that my neighbor had hired him to shoot some deer on his bit of upland that borders with my ground.

His story seemed to match up so i was fine with that and i was about to leave then he opened his mouth about what he had done an this that and the other you know bigging himself up. So then he comes out of the blue with ye i like to belly shoot them sometimes so it makes it easier for the dog( he didnt have lurchers he had german wire haired pointers). Im no expert on stalking ettickit but i dont think or at least hope this isnt common practice.

Im not trying to get on my high horse about it i just think you should always try to take something as clean as possible. So i told him i wasnt impressed at all with that amd he just chuckled amd shrugged it off. I let him know that if i catch him on my land or doing anything like that he'll be in the shit. So what do you other stalkers think am i over reacting a bit or is he being daft?

I'd have a word with your neighbour, see if he's happy with that kind of carry on happening on his land

f***ing disgusting practice. Any animal should be taken as quickly and cleanly as possible.

I'd get try get his name mate, and keep an eye on c*nt! That's a disgraceful way to shoot anything intentionally, and to boast about to a complete stranger? what a knob! I'd be having a word with your neighbor and make the bloke goes nowhere near your land. he doesn't sound safe to have around.

Ive only seen him that once but ive been looking since. He was a short fat fella so i would think he would struggle getting around in these fells lol. I havent seen anything dead or guts anywhere on my land but i dont go on my neighbours bit to much because ive no need to unless my sheep have got in because theres a wall gap.

I might have a ratch round it tonight with the dogs theyll find something if its there.

so, you get a new piece of stalking ground, and you get to meet the neighboring farmer in what sounds like a nice pleasant situation. why go out of your way to make yourself look a tw*t? I'd be asking if it was ok to pop over the fence should a deer run on after the shot, and end up on his ground. and try and make myself look like you know what your on about? I'd also probably have cheeky ask to see if anybody is stalking his ground if not, could I?

(is anybody stalking your ground blackdog? can I?):victory:

Makes perfect sense, lying about something so stupid to someone you don't know

Next you'll all be saying he was an anti hanging around with a gun on his back seat waiting for a chance to discredit stalkers to anyone that walked past

It isn't healthy to turn a blind eye to the wronguns in your sport, you should be ferreting them out to show that decent hunters don't tolerate that sort of carry on not sweeping them under the carpet.

He's a gob shite, with what seem's to be a a must have dog cos there's that much work for them, they should be compulsory before anyone is allowed to go stalking blood dog, sorry for the sarcasm, he wants prosecuting for cruelty, dick head doesn't come close to his description, even if he was winding you up,guy wants out casting, shouldn't be carring a rifle if that's how he operates, like the huntsman that turned anti and went to the press, describing his own actions as though it was normal, who received the right response from members on here, rant over
