Hello Gents, and Ladies, have just come across this forum. I heard it mentioned on, maybe you tube., or similar.

Am not far off hitting 70,have been target shooting for most of the 38 years I have had a firearms ticket.

Have recently been shooting Rabbits with my non FAC Air Arms 200.

Have had success at 35/40 yards but do realize the a bit more velocity would enlarge the pot.

FAC is up for renewal so will seek permission from Hutton to take on Rabbits, Pigeons, anything edible/won't frighten my Wife if she comes across itinthe freezer.

I have a couple of old 22RF target rifles that I absolutely adore so have asked for additional bolt action 22RF and am thinking a 17HMR might be useful provided I can get one to run really quietly, if that's possible.

The trajectory of fb 17HMR appeals to me plus the reduced possibility of ricochet.

Because of the work involved by the folks at the Registry getting individual bits of land approved for 22RF/ center fire I was wondering if the Yanks had developed a load which is capable of placing three or four round lead pellets in a six inch circle at 60/70 yards when shot through my 20bore Hushpower.

My line of thought being, knock down power at FAC air rifle range, not overly noisy so would not offend non shooting folks in the surrounding area, plus no need to trouble the people at the Fire Arms Registry each time I am asked to reduce Rabbits in someone's field.

All suggestions' will be very gratefully received.
