Nissan Pathfinder

Recommended Posts

4 years ago I was looking at one, fella I knew had one but sold it for a kia said the clutch goes about 80000 miles if you use it for towing. Sure enough someone else had one it went about 85000 and a neighbour's navarra which has the same chassis went about the same mileage.

Both not great for towing considering they're supposed to be workhorses.

I got a landcruiser instead and it was the dogs danglies.

pathfinder is a rebodied pickup, clutches are a bit weak if its been used as a workhorse and the chassis is thin poorly painted crap, several already in scrapyards now with chassis gone, have a bloody good look at any you go and see

+1 on the landcruiser ..the fact you still have to part with 5 k for a Twenty year old one says it all ..the 4.2 diesel manual , 7 seater is bombproof ..

How do Nissan manage to make a clutch that goes bang around 80,000 miles?. Is the clutch plate connected to the milometer? . A mate did 140,000 in 2 years in his Nissan pickup with no problem at all. I bet they didn't connect the clutch-milometer cable on his

Fcuked if I know, I went on what I was told. The navarra went at about 120,000 but the pathfinders went at around 80. Not all are going to be the same.

The digital display in my scenic went at 87,000 and a mates went similar mileage. Faults can be specific to a vehicle if the equipment is shite and a few will go around the same time. Law of averages I guess.

Just letting the o.p. know my opinion.
