Stop ends

Ive only till recently ever had one rabbit in a stop end but my last two trips out have produced two and then three, i was just wondering how many you fella's have had in a stop end?

We have had a few 2's and a 3 its nice when you dig down too 2 or 3 make it seem worth while if its been a tough/deep dig eh?

About a month ago me and my mate got 6 in a stop end. Couldnt fecking believe it! As I was breaking through the top one burst out through the loose soil and got away. So we thought wed lost the only rabbit in the stop, but low and behold the ferret had a hold of one, and there was a further 4 blocked up behind that! So we got 5 out of the 6 that were in the stop. It was only a tiny wee 4 hole warren as well, and there was 2 other rabbits in it that bolted, one of them bolted as we were just setting up the nets must have smelled ferrets off the nets I reckon.

 

Up until that point I had only ever dug to 1 or 2 in each stop end.

last week i had the first 3 in a stop end of this sesion but in the past i have had a couple of six's over the dales but this was a couple of years ago now when the rabbit numbres was alot higher

Most Ive had out of a stop end was 7 !!It was like pulling rabbits out of a hat .

Six from a stop-end in someones garden. Twentynine from the garden in total that measured about 150'x30'..

The most I've dug out of a stop end was 4.A mate of mine once pulled 9 rabbits out

luckily for him the dig was only about a foot deep so he just kept trenching on untill

he got to the last rabbit.

The most ive had was eight.

 

It was the only by luck as well. Me and my cousin used to ferret a patch with some nice open burys. one day we decided to take a look at a horrible piece of hawthorn hedge that we used to steer well clear off. We decided just to bung a ferret in to see what would shift and maybe push them on into easier holes. Got a mark in a tube way out from the hedge dug down and pulled a three out but couldnt reach the end of the tube so in with the ferret another mark a few foot on dug again another three same again and another two. I felt like david copperfield pullin em out of a fckin hat! Complete fluke.

i had 17 no joke it was a 128 hole set and it was 6 feet down crist knows what happend but its true

you must have dug a bloody great hole,6ft deep, and 17 rabbits, wow thats the sort of thing dreams are made of [apart from the dig unless you used a JCB} makes my humble 4 at 2ft sound dead easy
