Not diving BH, but I catch a few fish occasionally, and they're never wasted!!   Nice bass in Guernsey, that fed the family..     Me and the lad had a few cod and ling which went down well!!  

I mainly done me own versions of potugese cataplana I allways bring the spices piri piri and chillies back from Portugal for years its the the drinking while your cooking I like lol guess I watched t

Slice it wafer thin mate and when you get to the really black hard bits near the bone make a pea and ham out of it ;)

 

Pea and ham made with a Serrano ham bone :boogy: that has to be the food of the Gods right there :yes:

 

I'm always half looking forward to finishing the leg when I get one, soup from the bone is one of the best bits.

Now that's a dish for a KING, and Monchique is really a nice place, fond memories of the place and the food ! :toast:

 

Was that piri piri restaurant on the outskirts of Silves, on a hacienda style farm / restaurant ?

no mate its behind the cars on the left of pic with the river over the road , I spent a fair bit up monchique its a great place the smell of eucalyptus with great wine pork and chicken :thumbs:
